twitter page stay open after login/closing pop-up

I managed to make the plugin working on my Cordova application (Ionic 5 + firestore auth), my only concern is that after login or closing the login pop-up, this one is still active on the background.

We can see this by inspecting the device with Safari.

Opening and cancelling the login pop-up will result in a few numbers of Twitter page stacking on the background.
Any idea on how to close the pop-up after use ? (I'm using the cordova-plugin-twitter-connect-wkwebview)
