Hello,
I would like to request a feature related to handling NDS ROM files with banner CRC16 checksum errors.
Currently, when a ROM has a corrupted or invalid banner CRC16 checksum, it is displayed simply as "Program Data" instead of showing the actual game title. Additionally, the banner icon is also not loaded.
Some modified or fan-made (hacked) ROMs have broken CRC16 values in their banner data, but the banner text and icon themselves are still intact and readable.
Would it be possible to add an option to ignore the banner CRC16 checksum validation and still display the banner title and icon?
This would greatly improve usability when working with patched or modified ROMs.
Thank you for your consideration!
