Description
Installing an optional local DNS resolver on the Tor server itself may be something to explore.
There was some discussion on this on the tor-relays list, thread begins here.
This will reduce the number DNS queries leaving the node, one operator quoted the following:
queries forwarded 143488, queries answered locally 29384
This has reduced outbound DNS queries by 5%. Thats 5% less correlatable information in the above case.
This would depend on how much memory is available on the Tor server.
Suggested resolvers: unbound, powerdns recursor, or powerdns dnsdist
