showDetail and hideDetail examples

Hi
Can someone show me how to call showDetail and hideDetail. I thought I'd programmed it correctly but it doesn;t work in iOS.

I need to change the alignment of the expanded data as some of it aligns to the right. It needs to align to the left when expanded.
