Can't verify any session from Linux

Describe the bug
When I click on one of my verified sessions to verify Commet, it fails.

To Reproduce
Install Commet on Linux
Try to verify the session using emoji verification

Expected behavior
Verification works as expected

I ran Commet from the terminal and I got the following error when I attempt to verify my account:
