What happened?

When a single-user installation is uninstalled as Administrator, registry keys are left behind because the uninstaller assumes that the proper registry hive is HKLM, not HKCU. The uninstaller should perform a more thorough check to ensure registry keys are removed.

Additional Context

When other installation problems occur, a common recommendation is to run as Administrator, which should be permissible and clean the registry properly.
