RPM Availability for Rocky Linux 9 and Missing Documentation #14

@AkshathaTR13

Description

I noticed that the latest released version of Avro C++ appears to be 1.8.0, and there haven’t been any newer official releases since then. Additionally, I couldn’t find any RPM packages for newer distributions like Rocky Linux 9.

Could you please clarify:

Is Avro C++ still actively maintained?

Are there plans for a new release beyond 1.8.0?

If so, will there be official packaging support (e.g., RPMs) or instructions for building on EL9-based systems like Rocky Linux 9?

I wasn’t able to find recent information about this in the official documentation of Confluent Kafka or GitHub releases, so any clarification would be appreciated.
