Why we need this? What's a benefit of using this library?

Hi. I'm a bit unsure to use nodejs kafka lib. I come across with this lib and also looking at other e.g. nokafka and many more.

This is just a wrapper of the REST proxy APIs to provide a friendlier interface. However, Blizzard has since developed a wrapper of librdkafka which will provide better performance and not require running the REST proxy in addition to your app. I would suggest looking into use that library instead.

however, node-rdkafka it's for using on node server apps, and this library can be used directly from browser so it's ideal for getting some info from kafka for an existing dashboard / admin page.
