Description
Hi team,
I just flashed the Asus Zenbook UX305F yesterday and wanted to check something.
After running me_cleaner script with the -S flag I re-flashed the modified firmware to the bios chip and got a fully working machine. It ran well past the 30-minute mark, so I dare to confirm a successful procedure.
The intelmetool output however shows me a mildly concerning message regarding 'Manufacturing Mode', which to my understanding is exactly the reason we would want to deactivate IME in the first place. (before the procedure it was Manufacturing Mode : NO)
ME: Manufacturing Mode : YES
Full output:
ME: FW Partition Table : OK
ME: Bringup Loader Failure : NO
ME: Firmware Init Complete : NO
ME: Manufacturing Mode : YES
ME: Boot Options Present : NO

ME: Current Operation State : Bring up
ME: Current Operation Mode : Debug
ME: Error Code : No Error

ME: failed to become ready
ME: GET FW VERSION message failed
Is it supposed to look like this, or will I have to perform some additional modifications?
I will later write a clear guide for this model, just to help out future forum visitors. There was quite some hacking and hot-glue involved though, so it won't be anything fancy I could recommend to a novice.
