I'm unable to use ripasso on Arch Linux due to the error mentioned in the issue title. Any idea what's going on?

I tried using different pinentry options (such as gtk) but nothing worked.

Does the same happen in any other gpg contexts, for example if you just do a gpg --decrypt secret-file-name.gpg in the pass directory?

Nope, I get the usual pinentry-curses prompt and I am able to decrypt.
