Insights/feedback for encrypted voice recording app for journalists

Dear journalists,

Please give us your insights and feedback on the app idea below, which is a request directly from a journalist! We, the Cypherpunks Write Code meetup group, will be working on this app for our first hackathon.

The Idea

Here is the idea to date, the latest version of which does encrypted audio recording as well as video recording, plus optionally uploading that audio or video somewhere so even if your phone is seized, the audio recording/video footage is safe:
