Not possible to use with yahoo finance

Hello i'm trying to use this library with yahoo but it looks like it's not working at all currently. From what i see it's not compatible with any version of yfinance. Yfinance 0.1.79 looks like best match however then i always get No data found for this date range, symbol may be delisted

i'm trying to use this example but with yahoo instead of bloomberg.

I made it work with
yfinance=0.2.54
pandas=1.5.3

however I had to modify the code from what was in the example to

if run_example == 1 or run_example == 0:
    md_request = MarketDataRequest(
                start_date="01 Jan 1996",                         # start date
                data_source="yahoo",                          # use Bloomberg as data source
                tickers=["Apple"],
                vendor_tickers=["aapl"],                 # ticker (Bloomberg)
                vendor_fields=["Close"],                        # which Bloomberg fields to download
                cache_algo="internet_load_return")                # how to return data

    df = market.fetch_market(md_request)

    ta.run_strategy_returns_stats(None, index=df, engine="pyfolio")

so remove the fields arg and use aapl instead of gold
