Cursor position to start of the value on long pressing the backspace

I integrated this awesome plugin for my learning site but when I typed some value like 1,234.78, and start editing the whole value by long pressed backspace the cursor gets placed at 0.78 (at _ position, which should be after 0.78
So this problem creates issue, when I again start typing my field will have value of 40.78 instead of 4.78.
I m trying to fix this issue, but if someone has already found and fixed it please let me know.
