Role supports only yum/dnf-based linux distributions

Thanks for providing this nice Ansible role!

I was looking into using it, but when skimming through the tasks, specifically https://github.com/cvmfs-contrib/ansible-cvmfs-client/blob/master/tasks/repos.yml, I saw that only yum/dnf-based linux distributions are supported. It would be nice to state this in the README.

@rptaylor --- would there be interest from your side to support also debian/apt-based distributions? There seems to have been some work in this direction some time ago in #2, but that never got any reaction.

Hi @clelange ! (Your name sounds familiar, I wonder if we've crossed paths at CERN or elsewhere ...)

It depends what you mean by "support" - my organization doesn't use any Debian systems so I would not test or develop this myself, but I would definitely welcome and encourage support being added by an interested contributor.

#2 was prepared by a contributor , it looks like he intended to revisit that after #1 which added some CI.

Unfortunately the CI that was contributed stopped working and I did not have the time/familiarity to fix it (I think it might have broken from #11, attempted to fix in #12 ) so that got left a bit up in the air. #2 also includes some CI-related changes so I'm not sure of the status of that.

Hi @rptaylor --- thanks for your reply, we probably met at a CernVM workshop.

I worked with a student to create an Ansible role for the server setup: https://github.com/max-fatouros/cvmfs-ansible-setup
This actually has quite some extensive testing that could be used in a similar way for the client role here. Once this is implemented, one could add Debian system support. What do you think?

I won't be able to contribute this in the next couple of weeks but I'll add this to my list.

Oh, do you think the CI for testing that server role could be adapted to this client role?
If so that could be very useful indeed.

For the record we also have a comprehensive server role with many features, that has been used in production for many years (for Almalinux/RHEL-based systems). We host it in an internal repository but I just updated the one on github. We could potentially refactor it to make it more shareable (e.g. into a collection perhaps) if there is interest, but I'm not sure if there is a good way to integrate the use of ansible collections with ansible-pull.
