I'm pretty sure that the output of gc.get_element_facets(element_id) follows some sort of standard file format.
What is this format? I'm struggling to understand how the 3d body is constructed from those surfaces, as they are sometimes closed loops, sometimes not. And how to interpret openings inside the surface? Is there an underlying ruleset?
