Connector axis item position and length

I'm able to produce this:

Which is great, because it represents a big step toward what we want to achieve.
But now I'm stuck at this point:

So, I have three questions:

1. Is there a way to put the plugs fully inside the beam instead of halfway?
2. Is it possible to adjust their lengths after importing them from the catalog? Because we can use an infinite range of lengths, depending on char depth and angle of the fastener to the beam. So we cannot have them all in the catalog, especially if you consider that there are also different diameters that can be used.
3. Is it possible to create an item through the API?

Hi,

1. Can you send us the 3D file so we could investigate further? You can email the file to support instead of attaching the file here if you prefer.
2. This isn't really an API limitation but a 3D limitation, you would have the same issue via the UI. The support staff is aware of this issue so you might want to contact them for further info if required. If the UI eventually supports it then we could consider implementing something to support it via the API.
3. This isn't feasible at this time. Unfortunately this isn't planned in the short or medium term either. I have noted the request but you might have better luck directly editing the USERP.SDB file (in the userprofil/3d/DBE folder) as this contains the items.
