Ability to search for roleitem (like in k2 workspace)

In the K2 workspace, there's the option to search for a roleItem. This functionality is nice to have in this same service object because you then can use that for everything.

I'm not sure if the current User Role Management API provides this option.

With smartforms I used the AD service broker to create a search window for AD role items. Not sure if this can be done for SP also. But a ListUsers / ListGroups method would still be nice.
