Constantly Prompted for "Floating Window Permission" + Cannot Switch to Other Apps + Almost Never Recovers From App Switch

video shows its extremely frustrating behaviour. I do not need or want floating window support.

video does not show the "almost never recovers" but often times when you are away from EasyControl app and switch back in, it just gives you a black screen forcing you to close the app manually anyways.

Currently it behaves like that when you switch to another app. Because if the permission is not there then controlling happens in fullscreen and depending on what you have set in settings it will either minimize (it becomes a tiny floating icon) or switch to floating window, but both of this require floating window permisson.

As a workaround why dont you exit out of the device first, before switching to another app.

I cannot promise anything but I might have a look if there is a way to fix it. There might be issues with keeping the stream in background, need to check why original author choose this way.

Exiting out of the device first just becomes a unnecessary step that a user honestly shouldn't have to deal with. There should be a toggle to completely disable any floating window all together so it doesn't behave this way. Just allow the app to run in the background like any other normal app.

If its not possible to keep the stream in the background, just allow the app to disconnect, then reconnect automatically once the app is back into focus.

I believe ScrcpyForAndroid allows you to swipe away from the app like normal. Perhaps you can get some ideas from there.
