Hi there, today i did my first picomemcard mod
i managed to get it all inside a PS2 memory card (yes i only had a ps2 memory card, but as long as you cut some stuff on the pcb the memcard can be inserted fully into the PS1. (you need to cut like 2 walls on the pcb and some of the pastic too.
i used a RP2040 zero , i followed the guides provided, but the tutorial on github is strange because the diagram asks you to solder the 3.3v leg on the memory to the 5v line on the rp2040 zero, ......so i did not do that, and i soldered the 3.3 volt leg of the memory to the 3.3v pin on the rp2040 zero
then followed the guide to format the sd card to fat32, and placed some 0.MCR and 1.MCR on the sd card.
the usb drive with the files is detected if i connect the memory card via usb-c to my pc.
but
-
when the memory card is inserted, the controler stops responding (in the PSX menu to select the memory card contents) arrow is missing.
-
when the memory card is not inserted, the contoller responds on the menu. and the arrow appears.
