[Feature Request]: Enable switching Virtual Desktops by scrolling the mouse wheel while hovering the Task View button

Thank you for developing and maintaining Windows Virtual Desktop Helper!
It’s been very helpful in everyday use.

What feature?

Summary

When the cursor hovers over the Task View button (next to the Start/Windows button), allow switching virtual desktops by scrolling the mouse wheel: scroll up → previous desktop, scroll down → next desktop.

Problem / Motivation

Fast, accurate, mouse-only desktop switching is currently awkward.

Keyboard shortcuts (Win+Ctrl+←/→) require two hands; taskbar thumbnails require extra travel and clicks.

A hover + wheel interaction would let users keep one hand on the mouse and switch desktops rapidly and precisely.

Proposed behavior

• While the pointer is hovering the Task View button:
  • Wheel up: switch to the previous virtual desktop
  • Wheel down: switch to the next virtual desktop
• Optional settings:
  • Enable/disable this feature
  • Invert scroll direction
  • Scroll sensitivity

Great feature request! While this project implements it, there's actually already a ready-to-use solution that works exactly like this.

Desktop Switcher (available on Microsoft Store) implements this exact feature:

• Move your mouse to the bottom edge of the screen (not just Task View button)
• Scroll the mouse wheel to switch between virtual desktops
• Super smooth transitions, no keyboard needed
• Works on Windows 10 and Windows 11

The advantage of the bottom-edge approach is:

1. Larger target area - easier to trigger than hovering over a small button
2. Works anywhere - don't need to find the Task View button
3. Feels natural - similar to Mac's trackpad gestures

Just search "Desktop Switcher" in the Microsoft Store if you want to try it out. It's been my daily driver for virtual desktop switching - way more ergonomic than Win+Ctrl+Arrow keys.

That said, having this feature built into WindowsVirtualDesktopHelper would still be valuable for users who prefer the Task View button approach! 👍
