[Steam Trailers] No videos for newly added Steam games

Bug Description

After Nov 24, 2025, any Steam games added to the library do not have Steam Trailers. Previously added Steam games still play trailers. Games from other storefronts added to Playnite and updated with Steam metadata will play videos (ex. I added the Epic freebie Godzilla Voxel Wars and was able to get a Steam trailer to play).
When manually choosing "Steam HD Trailer" through the Steam Trailers submenu. returns this error:
Error downloading file from url "https://api.steampowered.com/ISTeamApps/GetAppList/v2/". Error: Exception calling "DownloadString" with "1" argument(s): "The remote server returned an error: (404) Not Found."

Steps to Reproduce

Add Steam games purchased since Nov 24 -> No Steam video available -> Update Steam metadata -> No Steam video available

Add Epic freebie after Nov 24 -> Update with Steam metadata -> Steam video available

Logs

No error log available.

I don't know if this is related, but I'm sharing hopefully it helps to find the cause :

I used to leave the [Steam Trailers] extension installed but disabled, since the extension [ExtraMetadataLoader] used to show steam video trailers automatically for every game that has a steam page until it stopped around the same time as yours. Video trailers still show up and work in older game pages added to Playnite library. Logos still works (whether manually or automatically) without problems for newly added games. It looks like it fails retrieving the data related to the steam video trailer.

Moreover, [ExtraMetadataLoader]'s "video player control" started giving me an error in logs as well for every new game created.
For instance, I created a 2nd playnite page (= Hi-Fi RUSH - DEMO BUG) for a game that already had an old functional video trailer (🎮 Hi-Fi RUSH - Steam )
When I open the newly created page - no trailer videos to play

I get this in the logs :

I don't know if I should open an independant issue since it's the same problem but with a different extension

The API: https://api.steampowered.com/ISTeamApps/GetAppList/v2/ is deprecated and seems to have been removed since it is now returning a 404.

The new API is: https://api.steampowered.com/IStoreService/GetAppList/v1/?key=xxxxx
You need to pass in your api key and handle pagination.
