Hackathon writeup

Now that our formal responsibilities are over, how would everyone feel about making a quick blog post/writeup to summarize the experience? The post could live here or in a new/existing blog (e.g. wordpress page for the training grant, or someone's personal scientific blog e.g. http://databio.org/posts/ @nsheff ).

Might also be nice to revise the readme to include a directory structure and descriptions of files.
