Not sure if the extension is still being developed (as the last commit was 2 years ago), but I would like to report that there seems to be a significant performance impact when it is enabled, e.g. in Chromium v143 the https://browserbench.org/Speedometer3.1 score drops from 36 to 31 (on AMD Ryzen 9950x) just by having the custom scrollbar applied.
However, if I apply the same custom scrollbar CSS (also to all sites universally) but using a different extension, e.g. Stylus, then there is no performance impact at all.
