GHA did not trigger when merging on main

Last merge commit from branch next to branch main 0721515 did not trigger the main.yaml GHA.
It is expected to be triggered here.
Maybe:

• it could be because both branches main and next are protected?
• the "squash and merge" is no more considered as a commit?

Update:

• A direct commit on main did trigger the GHA
• A merge of a PR from a branch different from next, using squash and merge also triggered the GHA
