[Request] Missing GTK3 YixinBoard for macOS in 250615 release

Hello, thank you for your hard work on the 250615 Rapfi release.

I noticed the release note says:

Upgraded Yixin interface to GTK3: now supports MacOS, Unicode/Emoji input, and multiple languages.

I really appreciate the improvements! I especially confirmed that multiple language support and other new features are working well. However, it seems that the GTK3-based YixinBoard GUI is not included in the release .zip file, nor in this repository or the Yixin-Board repository.

As a Mac user, I would love to try the GTK3 version of the YixinBoard.

May I ask:

• Was the GTK3 GUI intentionally excluded?
• Will you be uploading the updated GTK3 YixinBoard for macOS separately?

Hi sippindoz,

Currently, I have only uploaded the Windows version of the new Yixin board. The Mac version is already prepared, but I am still figuring out how to package them into one self-contained zip. The compiled Mac binary depends on a lot of GTK3 libraries, which I need to relink and resign them to make it run on a clean macOS system.

If you do not want to wait, you can compile the Mac version by yourself. Code is on the gtk3 branch. You would need to install the GTK+3 dev kit, then running make build-macos.
