Errors when downloading certain albums

Hello,

I sometimes get errors when downloading certain albums, and this has been the case for the last 2 weeks.

There are no details of the error in the logs, apart from: [!] Error while downloading TITLE by ARTIST: In the album folder, I have an empty file (0 bytes). If I try to download the album again, sometimes I get the error again, and sometimes the whole album is downloaded without errors (if I delete the empty files).

I've tried the following:

• install / resinstall demon
• reset my deemon config
• activate / deactivate "fast_api", change "fast_api_threads" values
• log off all connected apps from my deezer account
• change my deezer account password. it seem to provide a new ARL ? which I tried, without more success

Unfortunately, deemix (downloader) and deezer-py (api) are no longer maintained and I don’t have the time these days to maintain them. I’m assuming if it’s hit-or-miss, it’s likely not the API but it could be some way of limiting the amount of data being transferred at one time.

Keep the fast_api_threads low-ish. Too high and you’ll be rate limited. Downloads are handled entirely by deemix so I don’t have any control over that.

Thanks for your reply. Well, guess what? I ran some new tests yesterday: I don't get any more errors. Downloads work as before.

I did some more research when I posted this message. Apparently there was a server error on the Deezer side: the flac files were loading as mp3s. I've disabled the fast-api feature at the same time, just in case.

It's hard to know if it's a server or api error, or linked to my personal ARL (because I've reseted my password) . I suggest you leave the ticket open.
