Allow unpublished linked entries to be translated/populated on link fields

I would like to request a new feature please.

Would it be possible to allow unpublished entries to be populated/linked into link fields when translating entries?

I create an entry with a Hyper/link field in it. The Hyper/link field can exist in a matrix, neo and on first level.
This entry is linking through the Hyper/link fields to an entry which is only published on the source language.
When I click translate from the source to another localised version (with or without content, unpublished) the entry link or the text does not get populated.

I wonder if it would be possible to get it populated even if the entry is unpublished. Maybe through a configuration option?

If I set the currently unpublished (and not linked/translated on the first try) target entry to published/enabled. The translation works and the link field gets populated.
