My T2S+ shows that my hand is 70C. Am I going to die?

Hi, that doesn't sound quite right! Can you describe the issue in more detail?

Is it a fixed offset? Or is is non linear?

Screenshots showing example objects at known temperatures would be quite useful.

I attach two examples captured with InfiCam and the spyware.
It seems like the temperature is about 45C too high.
Hand is 80C while in spyware is reporting 36.5
Fridge is about 40 while in spyware is reporting is about -10C (also strange but close to truth).
Fridge should be around 5C using laser thermometer.

You have the same model? Does it work ok for you?

It is known that a static offset currently exists on these cameras, in order to fix that the app has an offset setting (under the thermometer icon). However, since you appear to need more range than the standard -20 to +20C offered in the old app I quickly made a version that can go from -100 to +100. You can find it here:

Let me know if you will be able to dial in the offset. It should only be done once since it appeared quite static in my testing.

My T2L or T2S+ (hard to tell, different android apps identify this device differently) also skews readings by +-40 degs. This is something probably your app is doing with mentioned on Youtube video registers as after launching official spyware readings are also way off. Adjustments in your software doesn't change readings too much and subsequent lanuches of Inficam just add up around 40 degs each launch to the point where app warns me to not to point camera towards too hot objects :P

if there's anything that i as device owner can do (like install some sketchy debug version of app to provide more data to you as a developer) please let me know.

Utlimately i am after a thermal cam to my PC to troubleshoot electronics but improvements on unofficial android app may serve whole community.

@lis6502 can you double check the value of the temperature slider after each launch? If that's not changing then the offset behavior you're seeing is entirely caused by your camera.

Also, do the offsets reset if you leave the camera off for a bit before trying to use it again?

Additionally you can try switching between the high and low temperature ranges within the app, maybe your camera has them switched or something.

Yes, slider doesn't change, it's the "bias" of the camera which changes on subsequent runs. It's like Inficam reading whatever camera is giving, and camera itself reports higher and higher readouts.

As stated above, "offset" in app doesn't change, however readout of my skin changes. Having camera plugged in( so powered) but no app running makes it "remember" last bias value.

Unplugging and replugging sometimes gives base +40degs, sometimes it remembers last bias and adds another on top of that.

Runinning spyware app resets readings to normal, this is: spyware reads sensible temperature ranges each time it runs (even without unplugging between using Inficam and official app) and closing spyware and launching Inficam "starts" offseting from the beginning.

So in my opinion it's something related to registers (bottom four lines of pixels) being incorretly initialized by Inficam and properly set up on boot of spyware.

Can you confirm what camera model you have, if it's the T2S+ or the T2L, it should be reported in the first party app somewhere.

@lis6502 you should consider moving this to a separate issue that explicitly asks for support of that camera since this is out of scope for the issue here involving the T2S+.

@diminDDL nope. Setting -100 or 100 gave me the same result.

However, I was able to fix the issue changing the range to 120-400.
Shouldn't this be set automatically based on the camera type?
I think the label (bottom range value 120) is wrong - Linux SDK says "The room temperature ranges: -20℃ to 120℃; extended temperature ranges: -20℃ to 400℃."

After few second of working in extended range I hear shutter (calibration), and the temperature is wrong again.
I have to go through changing ranges to get few seconds of correct reading.

I think your camera defaults to the opposite temperature range compared to mine. Unfortunately I don't know an easy way to detect which state it's in at the moment. And which raw register value corresponds to which range. I'll need to investigate the ranges more in depth later.

I am seeing similar issues on my T2S+. Oddly the temps are OK on the original netman version released in the downloads section of the clean unbox discord. The OG netman version already supported the T2S+ it seems.
