“Doing” column setting, and cards moved to it automatically have start date assigned #38

Auto-starting the timer is definitely an option. I would add it as an option into the board settings which would be disabled by default. Any other ideas for this part? Just wondering what would the start date be used for? Since there's already activity tracking. |

Well, I guess my ideal system would allow time tracking by day. For example, I move a task into the Doing column, the timer starts. At the end of the day, maybe I'm not done with it so I stop the timer but leave it in Doing as I intend to work on it the next day. At the end of the week, I have to reconcile my time to bill clients appropriately. To do that, I would like to have a break down of the tasks I worked on each day, and the time spent on that task on each day. Eigen Focus has something like this, where the kanban board is related to tasks (called Issues), and Issues can be used for time tracking in a separate part of the app. IMO that's a little disjointed - it feels like it could be more seamless and a better UX, but I'm not a dev and I barely know my ass from my head. |

Similar to the "Done" column whereby you can specify that all cards moved to this column are marked done/complete, it would be nice to specify a "doing" or "in progress" column whereby cards moved to it would have their start date assigned to the current date and time.
Maybe even an option to auto-start the timer as well :)
