Tag removal is not cleaning associated digests

Hi, I need to cleanup the old digests that are consuming space and tried `rm tag` command, it did remove tags, but digests are kept.
Can you add a flag to remove associated digests?
It can be an option to run `garbage collection` alternatively, as we can do on local container registry to cleanup untagged digests.
