abstract dataobject as pages

Hi,
actually dataobject as pages is integrated inside DOArtciles. Is possible to abstract this part, for make it agnostic respect the content type?

So you mean be able to use the urlsegments and the other behaviours attached to the "DOArticle" for other types of DataObjects like "Products" or "Widgets" for example?

yes exactly. move this in a generic class or decorator that can be ued from other types

sounds like a good idea, but not sure how. btw i did a cart over this module (still work in progress) but maybe if we could abstract it could be useful for all...

the idea should be move parts of the abstractions of this module in another repository git.

I think that this module ins't compatible with silverstripe 3. But i haven't tested it

probably wont work directly, but for sure is a good start. i sent him a message to see if he is interested on helping us, since i believe, we need some extra pair of hands for doing it.

Here is an idea... perhaps we could fork the DataObjects as Page module and convert it to SS3 since we now have some experience with this kind of functionality from building the DOArticles module? We could also bring in some of the elements we built for DOArticles like the category selection and tagging etc
