Using the SelfContained MSBuild property for Single-file Publish

I have noticed that the Single-file Publish design document never mentions the SelfContained MSBuild property.

It is only mentioned in the Framework Dependent Publish section as a dotnet publish cli argument (--self-contained=false).

I have successfully defined <SelfContained>false</SelfContained> inside of a csproj file instead of passing this as a dotnet publish cli argument. But is this a supported way of disabling self-contained publishing?

I'm asking because I would prefer to choose self-contained vs not self-contained at the project level rather than when calling the dotnet publish command (so that my continuous integration script just runs dotnet publish --no-build for all projects).

OK, so setting the SelfContained MSBuild property is documented on the Single file deployment and executable documentation page so I guess this is supported…
