Crashes when Importing Data

Hi,
I downloaded v09.8, but every time I try to import my data, the program crashes. I have tried to redownload the program but it still doesn't work. Any suggestions?

Hi,

I am no expert but in case it's helpful, here are a couple of things I found when having a similar issue:

-it will crash if your FASTQ files are on an external hard drive, or if you are saving the Aptasuite file straight directly onto an external hard drive

-I found that if I limited the number of FASTQ files to 4, then it worked - as soon as I included >4 files, it crashed

Hi, I also have the same issue and tried to move Aptasuite and my FASTQ files to my device memory, but still the problem is not solved, any other suggestions?

Hi,

It is possible that your are running into memory issues and that AptaSuite is crashing because you are running out of memory. Please refer to the following wiki article for additional details. You can try setting the -Xmx parameter to match the amount of memory of your system. If you still experience crashes, you can consider sampling down your data and see if that helps.
