ざっと、浸水想定エリアと現地の地図を比較して、被害の深刻さとOSM未整備エリアのバランスで、優先順位つけてみました。

Starting **August 6, 2025**, a stationary linear rain band brought prolonged heavy rainfall to the **Kyushu region of Japan**, causing **flooding and landslides** in multiple areas.

We have extracted the areas expected to be most severely affected using the [bosaiXView Estimated Flood Zones](https://bosai.maps.arcgis.com/apps/instant/portfolio/index.html?appid=1198beeef59a46fab8e327d3624e7b1b), and launched this **task project** in collaboration with various support organizations.

The goal is to enhance **OpenStreetMap building and minor road data**, especially in regions where OSM data is currently insufficient, focusing on the areas where these organizations are active.

If you have time, **we would greatly appreciate your support**.

とくに被害の大きいと予想されるエリアを [bosaiXView 推定浸水域](https://bosai.maps.arcgis.com/apps/instant/portfolio/index.html?appid=1198beeef59a46fab8e327d3624e7b1b) より抽出し、OSMデータが十分にマッピングできていないエリアを中心に、様々な支援組織と連携し、彼らの活動エリアを中心にOpenStreetMapの建物/より詳細な道路データを充実させることを目的にこのタスクプロジェクトを立ち上げました。お時間ある方、ご協力よろしくお願い致します。

### Background
Starting on **August 6, 2025**, a stationary **linear rainband** brought **prolonged heavy rainfall** to the **Kyushu region of Japan**, resulting in **flooding** and **landslides** across multiple locations.

### Project Purpose
To support **recovery and reconstruction efforts**, this task project was launched with the goal of:

- Enhancing **OpenStreetMap (OSM)** data for disaster-affected areas
- Collaborating with digital mapping initiatives such as the **Geospatial Information Authority of Japan’s GSI Maps**
- Supporting **disaster relief volunteers** and **aid organizations** working on-site
- Improving **building and minor road data** used in various tools for **base maps** and **thematic maps**  
Road target is limited to **unmapped minor roads, such as residential, service, and track.** Highways are excluded from this task.

### 📍 Priority Areas
Regions expected to have suffered the most damage were extracted using the  
[bosaiXView Estimated Flood Zones](https://bosai.maps.arcgis.com/apps/instant/portfolio/index.html?appid=1198beeef59a46fab8e327d3624e7b1b).

### Future-Oriented Mapping
This is not a crisis mapping project focused on emergency response like search and rescue.  
Instead, it is a **forward-looking initiative** aimed at:

- Supporting **ongoing recovery and reconstruction**
- Strengthening **disaster preparedness and mitigation**
- Enriching OSM data in regions prone to **future natural disasters**

2025年8月6日より日本の九州地方に線状降水帯が長時間豪雨をもたらし複数箇所で浸水や土砂災害が発生しました。

復旧復興活動が行われている被災地において、様々な形で利用されている国土地理院の地理院地図やその他多くのデジタル地図支援活動と連携する目的で、被災地の OpenStreetMap データをより充実させ、現地で活動する多くの災害ボランティアや、様々な支援組織と連携し、いくつかのツールで背景地図や主題図作成に使われている OpenStreetMap の建物およびマイナーな道路データを充実させることを目的にこのタスクプロジェクトを立ち上げました。なお道路については、今回はまだマッピングできていない Residential や Service、Track などの**より詳細な道路**が対象です。高速道路はマッピング対象外です。

とくに被害の大きいと予想されるエリアを [bosaiXView 推定浸水域](https://bosai.maps.arcgis.com/apps/instant/portfolio/index.html?appid=1198beeef59a46fab8e327d3624e7b1b) より抽出し、

本プロジェクトは救急救命のような緊急性の高いクライシスマッピングというよりも、今後の復旧復興のみならず、近い将来、再度起きるであろう自然災害の多いエリアのOpenStreetMapをより充実させることで地域の防災減災につながる未来志向的なプロジェクトです。みなさまのご協力よろしくお願い致します。

## 🗺️ Guidelines for Mapping

- Please use the default **Bing** imagery as the background layer. Unfortunately, the [GSI Seamless Photo Layer](https://maps.gsi.go.jp/development/ichiran.html#seamlessphoto) for this area is based on very old aerial photography, so we recommend using the most up-to-date imagery available.
- If Bing aerial imagery is difficult to use, you may switch to **ESRI World Imagery**.
- If the background imagery appears misaligned with existing map features, you may need to **offset the imagery** to match the correct position. As a reference, the GSI Seamless Photo Layer can be helpful for alignment.
- **Map only buildings and roads.** Road target is limited to unmapped **minor roads, such as residential, service, and track.**
- Please map **individual buildings**, not building groups.
- Major roads are already mapped, so please focus on adding **more detailed roads**. Highways are excluded from this task.
- If you are not a local resident or an experienced mapper, please be careful not to alter existing map data unnecessarily.

## 🗺️ マッピングのガイドライン

- 背景画像にはデフォルト設定の **Bing** を使用してください。  
  このエリアでは [国土地理院 全国最新写真（シームレス）](https://maps.gsi.go.jp/development/ichiran.html#seamlessphoto) の撮影年が非常に古いため、できる限り**Bing**を使用してください。
- Bing の航空写真レイヤが使いづらい場合は、**ESRI World Imagery** を使用してください。
- 背景画像が既存の地図とずれている場合は、**画像をオフセットして位置を調整**する必要があります。  
  位置合わせの参考には、国土地理院の「全国最新写真」レイヤが役立ちます。
- **建物とマイナーな道路のみをマッピングしてください。** 建物はグループではなく、**個々の建物を丁寧にマッピング**してください。
- 主要な道路はすでにマッピングされていますが、**より詳細な道路**の追加をお願いします。高速道路は今回のマッピング対象外です。
- 現地の方や経験豊富な方以外は、**既存の地図に影響を与えないよう注意**してください。
