Feature request: search pages with matching name

Is it possible to search only pages with names that match a particular pattern?

eg I my current problem is that have many template pages named i_template or c_template that I want to change
I can see I might also want to add a standard section to all the pages called 'start'

I want to make changes to the contents of my templates using batch edit but I can't see how to only edit these files. I have too many pages to search all page matches then only tick the right named ones in the preview pane in batch edit.

Any help or suggestions appreciated

There is no such feature at the moment.

As a quick hack you could modify getPageIndex() function in engine.php to return only the required pages. Around line 1185 insert something like this:

$index = array_filter($index, function ($pageId) use ($positiveFilter, $negativeFilter) {
    return preg_match("/i_template|c_template/", $pageId) == 1;
});
