velvetg parameter

Hi,

I have a question regarding the velvetg command, I don't know what to provide in the "ins_length" and "–min_trans_lgth" parameters. This is not straight forward from the manual or from web-page. My reads were produced with an Illumina instrument and are paired–end with 150bp length. Also if I let velvetg determine ins_length for me, should I still write that argument in script and just complement with auto?
