• Create a flattened version of the metadata schema, which can, for example, be imported in a spreadsheet program, to simplify submission of raw data.

Aside from that, possibly the environment.yml is sufficient to run the automated tests and/or to run some example code to validate the schemas.

Just the more modern replacements, pyproject.toml and setup.cfg. But it's also not too important.
