I was struggling by setting up heishamon for my situation (2 zones and a dhw tank), and found your repository. First of all thanks for all the hard work you put in it.

I was about to test the new Alpha release for multiple zones, but have to make some adjustments first:

• My valve is connected to heishamon and not to the heatpump, so somewhere in the logic I have to trigger the external valve to go to either dhw or heat, where would I implement that?
• Second of all, I have to trigger another valve for the different zones, so where would I implement that.

I saw your request for testing and videocall / screen sharing for the alpha release, I'll definitely help you with that, but first want to figure these things out.

It is difficult for me to debug something without the hardware 😄 Or to give advice.
I do not fully understand understand the valve question.

what valves are you referring to. and how are you now controlling them? what is your expectation of the flow to do with the valves

Why dhw is not connected to heatpump?
As for zone heating it's depends who monitors/controls them..

Ah good to know! I’ll switch to Alpha 5!

The pump is now controlled by the installer’s soft and hardware and bit by bit they start asking money for additional things, therefore I bought the heishamon which is stil in listen only mode.

By the valve I mean the three way valve to switch from heat to dhw that I want to attach to the two relais of the heishamon. That way I’ll be able to control the valves. Perhaps a direct connection to the heatpump would be better but this is how everything is installed and additional wires would be hard.

Then downstairs I have a robot ltc with thermostatic valves installed that I can also control with mqtt. That way I can open and close groups to create zones: office and rest of the house downstairs. This is not ideal but the office cools down more rapidly than the rest of the house. Both zones have a thermostat / temperature sensor

For valve control you need only one relay (NC for heating and NO for dhw), and i am still confused why it's not controlled by pump itself.. also how you supposed to increase temperature while switched to dhw? What external software is control right now? Why it's so complicated? :)

As per zone, you can control them as you like, i think 2 zone control where @edterbak is working right now is for heatpump controled ones.. so pump should on w what temperature it supplies, and so on.. so it's more or less controled from pump itself, in your case if you don't have separate zones in pump, it's possible.. but don't think it's worth to control it from pump side.. it could become too complicated and not so reliable project.

That’s the problem with my installation: I have two valves: 1 for dhw and 1 for heating. So for dhw I have to open dhw and close heating. So it’s not really a three way valve.

For the multiple zones: I was under the impression that I needed two zones as I need 2 rct sensors

In the meantime I found that there is one place in the flow where SET9 SetOperationMode is used, that would be the perfect place I think for my valve. So SetOperationMode to heat: my heat opens (and dhw closes) and vice versa.

Or I could make a rule for that in heishamon

Don't think set9 will work for you, it's just mode in which heatpump is work. DHW is not indicate that you will reheat tank, it's just will not heat house, and only monitors DHW. For this you need temperature sensor connected to pump, and this will be trigger to reheat and stop for DHW... So if you have nothing connected to pump, best go for you will be do it in your own logic. Monitor DHW temperature set heatpump on direct water heating mode, and switch setup to match DHW and so on..
