This plugin I believe is more for UX purposes so the user has some visual feedback. The only thing it considers in your app when implemented is the password input. You'd be best putting a regex condition on the form submit button if you don't want the user to be able to proceed when all requirements haven't been met.

I've no idea if you are still interested in this issue, but I've recently found this plugin being used in a product I am working on. For me, it would also be very useful to have external controls enabled/disabled etc. based on the state of the password.

Actually this was pretty simple to achieve. I added a new property called

notify

where notify should be a function. The function is called each time the state of the password field is checked (i.e. as the user is typing in the box). A true or false value is passed to the function, using true when the password meets the requirements.

I've updated the demo html to include a submit button that is only enabled after the password meets the criteria.
