Want to use the CYD for a HAS dashboard but want to use some text based sensors from HAS, ie they return a text string.
Is it possible?

hey @rhamblen it is possible I believe, but the only limitation would be the string length. Given the current layout of the grid, you'd be limited to around 7 characters until it overflows. I could add an option to adjust font size for that particular sensor, but still limits it to maybe 12 characters. Could possibly make it scrolling text so it could be any length then, I'll have to explore and try out some options.

thanks... smaller font and 12-14 characters will work.
Im using it for location (icould3 v3 and places to do suburb level) , so I know when family home or away. May make a weasley clock in the future.but short term just placing the word on screen for a family member is sufficient.

and this tool is so easy to use. thanks as it saved me starting from scratch.
