Lut file format

Image is really the high level tool of image manipulation, It has a most integrated workflow.

I see that all the logic for LUT is already integrated.

In the industry there are precise standards to express and port LUT

.look
.vtl (panasonic)
.cube

DaVinci Resolve, Affinity, Lightroom profils export, ... all support it.

Nx and programming methods are precise but not up to task when esthetic prime.

I'm familiar with LUTs. The .cube format isn't too complicated but of course there is also the need to interpolate as well. And then align to the libvips APIs.

I'll put this on the "good idea to get to some time" but I'm not inclined to make it a priority in the next couple of months.
