Sequence shadowing #12

Description

@AFulgens

Currently there are baked in sequences that are shadowing other baked in sequences.

Sadly, I did not find it, whether — or if yes how — I can override the WinCompose-delivered sequences in a non-installed (portable) version, as I don't find the config file containing them.

Example is:

  • "Latin small letter o with macron" has the following sequences defined: ♢=o ♢-o ♢o_ ♢po1 ♢o- ♢⁻o ♢_o
  • "Laten small letter o with double acute" has the following sequences defined: ♢=o

Actual result:

I cannot type ő with WinCompose currently, because ō takes precedence and I cannot disable the ♢=o rule for it.

I can still go to the GUI and copy ő.

Possible solutions:

Alternatives are:

  • Provide a config file with all pre-defined sequences for easy edit
  • Provide facility in the GUI to disable sequences (not only favorite them)
  • If I put a sequence into Favorites, it should take precendence over any other character bound to the same sequence
  • Compile time / start-up time check for duplicate sequences
