Can't interact with package manager

pacman likes to ask the user to pick a package that Provides: a specific metapackage. When this happens, pets hangs with no indication of the problem. This is because the output of the package manager is only shown once it exits. Streaming the output to the terminal while the package manager is still running would solve this.

Moreover, there's no way to answer any questions the package manager might ask.
