Emmet in NotePad++ not working

I have tried both manual install and from plugin manager and it basically does not work at all.
I have the console for Python loaded which shows it has loaded, but none of the emmet functionality works.
Is there a simple set of instructions I can follow to get this work otherwise I will look for an alternative to Emmet.

If you are looking for an alternative, try out jn-npp-emmet, which is powered by jn-npp-plugin instead of Python script.
