• how to use .bashprofile_dev_container
• how to use .bashrc_dev_container
• how to set default extensions inside devcontainers using dev.containers.defaultExtensions

In addition you could install your editor inside the developer container by adding an apt-install command into the `epics-containers` user personalization file.
