Tableau interpolate nearby values to missing values in line plot

According to Eileen, if there are readings missing, tableau will interpolate the values nearby (i.e. connect the data points available immediately before and after the missing data point(s) ). This is undesirable, as it makes it hard to see we have holes in the data.

You should follow this issue with Eileen to get a workbook from her that reproduces the problem brought up.
