Compute SRFs (original Levermann, check codependence), IRFs (done by Dewi) and ORFs (from EC-Earth output)

  • Save ECE temperature time series within repo

CMIP6

  • Read in Eveline's data for temperature time series
  • Read in Eveline's data for reanalysis range
  • Compute time series from picontrol EC-Earth

SRFs

  • Copy data from codependence repo
  • Move code from codependence repo
  • Save data as simple to read .nc files [N,5,100]. N: number of ice models
  • Apply to idealised ocean time series

IRFs

  • Homogenise reading code from Dewi with SRFs
  • Check units and extract sensible IRFs
  • Save data as simple to read .nc files [N,5,100]
  • Apply to idealised ocean time series

ORFs

  • Compute from ocean temp anomalies (pert-pictrl)
  • Save data as simple to read .nc files [5,5,100]. 5,5: ice sector,ocean sector
  • Apply to idealised ice mass loss time series
  • In read_alldata: Make ORFs only for regional perturbations, add variable (tpert) for options (totl,half,doub,sum5)
  • Modify draftplot_linearitycheck to actual temperature perturbations instead of response functions

Feedbacks

  • Start with idealised ocean time series (or ECE-CMIP6 output if easily available)
  • Apply SRFs, IRFs, and ORFs
  • Test convergence of IRF-ORF iteration
  • Compute final/initial mass loss and ocean warming

Sea level projections

  • Get CMIP6 output from Dewi/Eveline including historical and SSP (alternative: use CMIP5 from codependence work)
  • Set up sampling of basal melt sensitivity, climate model, and ice sheet model
  • Compute sea-level projections with and without feedback

Temperature diagnostics

  • Correct treatment of layer thickness < 100m (when bathymetry crosses Levermann depth)
  • Plot T and S sections Amundsen
  • Extend sections to all regions
  • Plot sections and difference CTRL wrt piControl
