This causes the first tray entry to be toggled immediately if the cursor is not moved away quickly. Also I don't know why the extension button moves to the first index of the tray icons...could that be forced instead?

I think it should be enough if we add a small delay after click
And I found an extension that works as a work around to the position of the extension on the panel...
