Title: Commercial Licensing Inquiry: Active Deployment at synmin.com
Hi team,
I’ve attempted to reach out through multiple channels (GitHub, LinkedIn, email) regarding commercial licensing for TRIBE v2. I haven’t heard back yet, so I’m posting here as well.
I built Synaptik Mind (https://synmin.com) on top of TRIBE v2 — a brain prediction platform that lets users paste content and see predicted cortical activations in real-time. It’s deployed on an A100 GPU and getting real usage.
I have a straightforward question: can I charge a small fee to cover infrastructure costs, or does the CC-BY-NC-4.0 license prohibit this entirely?
My Modal GPU bill hit $500 in the last three days running the A100 to give users a quality experience. I’m happy to keep the platform live and driving awareness for TRIBE v2, but I need to offset costs or I’ll have to shut it down.
I’m open to any arrangement, a commercial license, a research partnership, a revenue share, or even just written confirmation that cost-recovery fees are acceptable under CC-BY-NC. Whatever works for your team.
If I don’t hear back within a few days, I’ll take the site down to avoid any licensing issues. I want to do this the right way.
