Shizuku issue with V1.9.0

Android 15 CRDroid,

Installing it won't prompt shizuku to "pop-out" a notification to allow shizuku access, however I just went to the Shizuku app and authorize it anyways.

However, returning back to enforcedoze app, options would still show "root required" and going back to the shizuku app, enhancedoze app dissapears from the authorized application list. Switching back to root mode, options woud still show "root required".

Do let me know if you need logs. #69 Nice.

• will prompt for authorization on start and in settings while selecting execution mode.
• all settings available and working with Shizuku

Same issue and behavior on the latest version, on both my Pixel 9 Pro XL and my Pixel Fold. Both devices stock Android 16, latest (QPR2 stable branch) with Shizuku.

Any way I can further troubleshoot this?

Here's my logcats. Apologies for the size, I wanted to make sure I would catch everything so I started logging even before installation of EnforceDoze (and with so many apps on my main phone, they're huge):

I'm sending two versions, I'll explain the difference between them:

Version 1, where I first open the app:

logcat_v1.txt

The steps I followed for v1:

• installed EnforceDoze (through InstallerX Revived)
• opened EnforceDoze, was prompted and gave permissions through ADB (through wireless adb via aShell You)
• went into app settings and enabled Shizuku, no popup to allow Shizuku access
• went back from app settings, couldn't enable EnforceDoze
• opened Shizuku to look for the toggle, found it, and enabled it
• went back to EnforceDoze, enabled it
• went back to Shizuku, no togle for EnforceDoze

Version 2: the "Shizuku first" method, to maybe try to catch why it disappears from Shizuku:

The steps I followed for Version 2:

• installed EnforceDoze (through InstallerX Revived)
• opened Shizuku, granted permissions to EnforceDoze before starting
• opened EnforceDoze, was prompted and gave permissions through ADB (through wireless adb via aShell You)
• went into app settings and enabled Shizuku, no popup to allow Shizuku access
• went back from app settings, couldn't enable EnforceDoze
• opened Shizuku to look for the toggle, it had disappeared
• went back to EnforceDoze, still couldn't enable it
• swiped EnforceDoze up (to clear it from recents)
• went back to EnforceDoze, enabled it
• checked Shizuku again, no togle for EnforceDoze

I also tried installing with stock package installer, ignoring ADB permissions on app startup and going straight to enabling Shizuku in settings, same result: EnforceDoze is enabled, and perhaps it's working as intended in the background*, but Shizuku stops recognizing it.

• Apologies, I forgot to run adb shell dumpsys deviceidle after enabling EnforceDoze to check if the doze values were actually changed, will check later and report back :)

Edit: ran adb shell dumpsys deviceidle both before and after enabling EnforceDoze and used Gemini to compare both results, seems like it's not making any changes

Same here. I might be wrong but I believe that's normal, due to the different types of access root and Shizuku offer.

In essence Shizuku allows you to enable basic functionality. However, to enable those specific enhancements, you do need root, since Shizuku doesn't offer the access the app needs for those.

Have tried the latest version, tried changing execution from root then to shizuku, however options that are usually available with root are still greyed out while in Shizuku Execution Mode.

Have checked shizuku has indeed authorized the app to use it. Just cleared data and cache, and switched execution mode to Shizuku. At this stage, the usual rooted options are available, but the moment you gesture back/previous button to exit the setting screen to go back the home page, and go into settings again, all rooted settings are then greyed out again.

Seems to be working perfectly now. I did need to force close the app once after accepting Shizuku permission, but the next time I opened it I was able to enable it. Will monitor and report back. Thank you!
